Hi, I'm Emma.
I’m a UK candle maker, and I built Pour & Track because I was struggling to keep on top of the paperwork that comes with making and selling home fragrance products.
My recipes were written in notebooks, test results were on loose bits of paper, and batch records were piling up faster than I could file them. Most of my time was going into making, which meant the admin side was constantly being pushed aside.
I needed a better way to manage everything, and I kept coming back to the same thought: I always have my phone with me. So I set out to create something that would make the whole process simpler, more organised, and as paperless as possible.
That’s how Pour & Track started. What began as a way to store my own recipes, test results and batch records gradually grew into a full workflow and stock management app. I also wanted CLP labels built into the process, so makers could keep more of what they need in one place.
Pour & Track has made a huge difference to the way I work, and my goal now is to make that same difference for other makers too.
Cast & Test: make your own vessels, then test them properly.
Those concrete-look vessels are simpler to make than they look. Cast & Test is a new section of the app for makers casting their own candle vessels in Jesmonite or other casting materials, to help you make them and test them properly before you put a candle in one.

Try it freeCast & Test is a record-keeping tool for the checks you carry out yourself. It does not test, certify or guarantee that any vessel is safe for candle use. That is down to your own testing.
I always saw those gorgeous concrete-look vessels in reels and thought, I want to make those. But they looked complicated, and that put me off for a while.
Then I got it into my head to give it a go (that’s just me), and it was far simpler than I expected.
Using them as candle vessels was a different matter. Nobody guarantees a vessel is safe for a candle, so the testing is down to the maker. I wrote a full testing procedure and worked through it myself.
Most of it passed, but not everything. The first acrylic sealer I tried gave off a chemical smell, which was an instant fail. I messaged a few creators to ask what they used and didn’t hear back, so I did what I always do and figured it out for myself. I found a natural sealer that worked for me.
When I built Pour & Track I knew I’d bring vessel casting into it one day. If you’ve wanted to try it but weren’t sure where to start, I hope this gives you the confidence to give it a go.
